DIY Valentine’s Day Dog Biscuit Recipe
There are a lot of fun and important holidays in the month of February: Valentine’s Day, National Cat Health Month and Pet Dental Month, but let’s not forget about Dog Biscuit Appreciation Month! One thing is for sure, dogs love their treats! So, why not combine at least two of these great holidays and use it as an excuse to spoil your dog? Exactly. There’s just no reason not to!
Enjoy this quick and easy heart-shaped Valentine’s biscuit recipe for your dog. These biscuits are sure to please. Let us know how much your dog loves them!
Here’s what you need:
- A dog or two to appreciate these tasty biscuits
- 2/3 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup all natural peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup oats
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a mixer with a paddle to combine all of the ingredients together except for the flour. Slowly add wheat flour to the mixture. On a lightly floured surface, flatten out the mixture, but if it’s not thick enough add more flour. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to form biscuits. Place heart-shaped treats on a flat cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 20 minutes or until golden and let cool before sharing with your dogs.
These tasty treats are good for 3-5 days.
